The most common colours for closing boxes are brown or transparent tape.
For large shipments and pallets, we prefer PVC tape (polyvinyl chloride) instead of PP (polypropylene) because of the strong adhesion of this type. Another difference is the stretch ability: PVC tape is not stretchable, PP tape is. If you want the tape to roll out silently, choose PVC tape. Do you mechanically close shipping cases and boxes? Do you purchase large volumes of packaging tape? Then PP tape is the most common, economical case sealing tape. The tape unrolls lightly, has good tack and adheres quickly to cardboard. With a good tape dispenser and a roll of packaging tape you can close everything in no time. PP tape is easily processed by machines that seal cases and boxes. Your cardboard, your box contents, the required transparency, tape unwind noise and your packaging and storage conditions determine which type is the right one for you. PP tape is available up to a roll length of 1,800 metres.
